MORNING MIST This online lesson with Chinese brush painting Master James Tan will introduce students in experience the Oriental approach and dynamic energy or " ch'i ". "ch'i" is a breath of heaven, spirit, vital force and the vivifying principle. The other techniques required to achieve the mystical beauty, majesty and serenity of the contemporary Chinese landscape.  You will learn to render mist-laden mountains, eloquent trees, shimmering waterfalls and other elements that enhance the mood and atmosphere of your piece while being mindful of dynamic composition, texture, colour and value to create poetic and powerful paintings.  You will be guided through the process with in-depth demonstrations and individual attention. more info....... BY THE LAKE James Tan will introduce students to the techniques required to achieve the mystical beauty, majesty and serenity of the contemporary Chinese landscape. You will learn to render mist-laden mountains, eloquent trees and other elements that enhance the mood and atmosphere of your piece while being mindful of dynamic composition, texture, colour and value to create poetic and powerful paintings.   And you will be instructed the Oriental approach to contemporary mixed media works with dynamic energy or “ch’i”. “Ch’i” may be described as a breath of heaven, spirit, vital force and the vivifying principle. Different techniques will be explored using Chinese paints, watercolour, acrylics, inks and collage and a variety of beautiful oriental papers to produce exciting textures and colour.    more info.......
